What is the content of the SiBe training course?

The content of courses for safety officers is not regulated by federal law and therefore varies. As a rule, the following topics are covered:

  • Tasks and purpose of safety officers
  • Legal basis
  • Structure of a security system
  • Safety mission statement, safety objectives, safety organization
  • Safety rules, safety standards
  • Instruct employees to behave in a safe manner
  • Training, instructions, information
  • Risk assessment and planning measures
  • Emergency organization and reporting procedures
  • Participation
  • Health protection
  • Non-occupational accidents
  • Control, audit

Graduates of health and safety training know the basics of occupational safety and health protection (including EKAS Guideline 6508). They know the structure of the company safety system and the instruments for implementing the tasks assigned to them and are able to apply these as appropriate to the situation.

They can also organize occupational safety and health protection and coordinate the involvement of occupational safety specialists. In addition, they can independently develop, plan and implement protective measures and actions for the company.
