Numerous interesting courses are offered by renowned schools in the field of herbal medicine. These courses are aimed at both laypeople and professionals in the medical field, such as nurses, pharmacists, chemists, pharmaceutical assistants, nutritionists, naturopaths and even doctors who see the combination of phytotherapy with conventional medicine as an enrichment and would like to use medicinal plants responsibly in their professional environment as a phytotherapist.

Many clients still prefer to treat their illnesses, injuries or pain naturally, despite the advances in conventional medicine.

Herbal medicine is the oldest form of medicine and has been practiced in all cultures since time immemorial and passed down from generation to generation. In today's globalized world, we have the advantage of bringing together and using the best and most effective herbal medicine recipes and medicinal plants from all cultures. Questions and answers

Grundkurse in der Phytotherapie werden bereits ab wenigen Tagen Dauer angeboten und reichen bis hin zu einer kompletten Ausbildung als dipl. Phytotherapeut / als dipl. Phytotherapeutin mit der Dauer von zwei Jahren und mehr.

Nach einem mehrtägigen Grundkurs in der Heilpflanzenkunde werden Sie mit grosser Wahrscheinlichkeit nicht in der Lage sein, auf selbständiger Basis eine Praxis als Phytothereut / Phytotherapeutin zu führen, da Ihr Wissen und Ihre Kenntnisse über die Wirkungsweisen und Anwendung der einzelnen Heilpflanzen nicht gross genug sein wird. Für eine Selbständigkeit resp. eine professionelle Tätigkeit in der Pflanzenheilkunde ist eine umfangreiche Diplomausbildung, eventuell mit Methodenregistrierung beim EMR oder der ASCA zu empfehlen. Die einzelnen Schulen geben Ihnen diesbezüglich gerne weitere Auskünfte.

Eine eidgenössisch anerkannte Ausbildung als Phytotherapeut / Phytotherapeutin gibt es derzeit noch nicht.

Zu Zulassungskriterien für die einzelnen Ausbildungen und Weitebildungen zum Phytotherapeuten unterscheiden sich je nach Bildungsanbieter. Bei einigen werden keinerlei bestimmte Vorkenntnisse erwartet, andere setzten bereits eine Berufsausbildung im Gesundheitswesen voraus.
