Tell us about your role in education.

I am the director of eFachausweis. I studied psychology and then worked mainly in HR and social insurance. In 2018, I completed my Doctor of Education training at the University of Liverpool. During this time, I studied digital learning methods in depth. In the same year, I founded eFachausweis. eFachausweis offers students the opportunity to prepare online for exams such as HR Assistant (also known as Personnel Assistant).

What goals does eFachausweis pursue in the area of human resources?

One aim is to offer an alternative to traditional face-to-face teaching in the form of an effective online education option for teaching skills in human resource management. Various studies in English-speaking countries show that didactically well-prepared online learning works just as well or better. This also gives people who have a greater need for flexibility access to further education. I am thinking, for example, of people with irregular working hours or family commitments. But also night owls and morning people who can learn when and where it suits them best with an e-learning certificate.

What courses does the eFachausweis training institute offer in the field of human resources?

eFachausweis offers two courses for prospective HR assistants: a self-paced course and a mentoring course. The self-paced course allows you to learn at your own pace without fixed deadlines. On the mentoring course, you are also very flexible in terms of your learning schedule. However, there are video conferences in the classroom and with experts. There is a maximum of four people in the class group.

Who is the HR Assistant course particularly suitable for?

The HR Assistant course from eFachausweis is aimed at people who want to learn the basic skills in human resource management in a flexible and self-determined manner. The certificate for HR assistants is also a prerequisite for admission to the professional examination for HR specialists. Online learning requires a certain amount of self-discipline, but also offers a great deal of freedom during training.

What career prospects does the HR Assistant certificate offer?

With the HRSE certificate HR Assistant, you can independently manage personnel administration in SMEs and public companies. In larger companies, a personnel assistant function can be performed. The HRSE certificate is a prerequisite for admission to the professional examination for HR specialists.

What do participants learn in this HR training course?

The focus of the HR assistant training course is on the subjects covered in the certificate examination:

  • Basics of Human Resource Management (HRM mission, sub-processes, etc.)
  • Personnel administration (recruitment, employment references, etc.)
  • Salary administration (payroll accounting, social insurance, etc.)
  • Basics of labor law (contract, obligations, etc.)
  • Other topics (commercial register, education system, etc.)

How much does the self-directed certificate course in human resources and the corresponding mentoring variant cost?

The certificate preparation course for HR assistants costs CHF 1,800 in the self-directed version and CHF 2,900 in the mentoring version.

What makes an online course of study particularly interesting for prospective students?

Well-prepared online education is well received by students: it offers personalization options and varied online teaching thanks to various didactic methods. Online education also allows students to prepare for the professional examination as a HR assistant independently. Companies also appreciate employees who train themselves in this way. Those who use online training courses are innovative, open-minded, self-reliant and digitally competent.
