Swiss Professional Association for Applied Psychology
The Swiss Professional Association for Applied Psychology SBAP was founded in 1952 by Prof. Hans Biäsch. It is one of the oldest Swiss psychology associations with over 900 members.

In the legal form of an association, the SBAP represents the professional interests of its members and the interests of applied psychology. The SBAP is a member of the umbrella organization FH SCHWEIZ. SBAP members benefit from all services and discounts.

- Persons who have completed a university degree in psychology
- SBAP Friends can be any person or institution with an interest in psychology

Weiterbildungen in der Notfallpsychologie sind neben Psychologen und Psychologinnen auch für Sozialpädagogen / Sozialpädagoginnen, Ärztinnen / Ärzte, Theologen / Theologinnen, Pädagoginnen / Pädagogen, Sozialpädagogen / Sozialpädagoginnen, Sozialarbeiter / Sozialarbeiterinnen, Polizeikräfte und Pflegefachpersonen geeignet.

Wer als Notfallpsychologe oder Notfallpsychologin tätig werden möchte, benötigt einen Psychologie Masterabschluss oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung sowie eine anerkannte Weiterbildung in der Notfallpsychologie, etwa der Besuch eines Lehrgangs des SBAP, des Schweizerischen Berufsverband für Angewandte Psychologie.

Die Inhalte einer Ausbildung in der Notfallpsychologie können sich je nach Anbieter und Jahr ändern, so das darüber keine allgemeingültige Aussage getroffen werden kann. Der Schweizerische Berufsverband für Angewandte Psychologie SBAP vermittelte so im Jahr 2016 grundlegendes und spezifisches Wissen unter anderem zu Inhalten wie: Umgang mit Kindern und Jugendlichen nach traumatischen Ereignissen, Psychohygiene und Selbstschutz-Massnahmen, Psychotraumatologie und Interventions-Techniken, Trauerverarbeitung, Angehörigenbetreuung bei Suizid, Totenbeschau und Obduktion, Blaulichtorganisationen, Suizidale Entwicklung.
