How does the training to become a nature educator work and how much does it cost?

Most training courses start with a basic course, which lasts about a year.
The classroom training comprises 7-26 days, which are organized individually or as multi-day course blocks and spread over the year.
The courses usually take place outdoors. For course blocks lasting several days, the evening program and overnight stays in a tent, tipi, bivouac or stable are part of the training.
Self-study and writing a thesis or practical documentation require about the same amount of time as classroom teaching.
Some schools require internships or practical visits lasting several days.
The course fees range from around CHF 1,000 for the less intensive courses to around CHF 3,500 for the more intensive courses.
