How do I become a mental coach?
What degrees are there?

The educational pathways to becoming a mental coach are not formally regulated.

The training courses take the form of continuing education courses. Some conclude with the school's own diplomas, for which examinations are sometimes taken and/or diploma theses are written.

The requirements depend on the provider, course types and course objectives. Details can be found in the course descriptions.

On the whole:

  • Mental training courses in sport require personal experience in popular and/or competitive sport.
  • In the psychosocial field, mental training courses are often professional further training and specializations and require corresponding education, knowledge and experience (in care, counselling, coaching, psychotherapy, etc.)
