Life coach or personality coach training courses are available in short and longer forms: as 1- or 2-day seminars and as modular courses lasting several months.
All life coach courses can be attended while working. When planning, however, don't just think about the classroom teaching, but also about time for self-study, for coaching sessions (as coach and coachee) and, if necessary, time for the final thesis.
The costs for life coach training are as varied as the courses on offer. For courses, they are CHF 1000, 2000 or 4000, depending on whether you are interested in distance learning or face-to-face teaching or in more comprehensive or specialized courses. For weekend seminars, the costs for accommodation and meals are additional. It is best to enquire directly with the providers.
For some providers, gaining experience as a coachee and coach is part of the training. A certain amount of coaching experience is required for federal qualifications and certain industry diplomas. Ask the providers whether such coaching is offered and included in the course fee or what additional costs you should expect.
