In medium-sized companies, federally certified heads of human resources assume overall responsibility for human resources and in large companies they manage a sub-area of human resources. They manage the HR department in terms of personnel and administration, are responsible for the recruitment and selection of management staff and are available to advise and support both management and line managers.
