How does the training to become an EFZ computer scientist work and what does it cost?

The school-based training to become an EFZ computer scientist consists of two parts:

In the first two years, full-time practice-oriented teaching is the order of the day.
The third and fourth years of training consist of work placements. In the last semester, the so-called individual practical assignment (IPA) is created in the internship company as proof of performance.
The regular federal final apprenticeship examination (QV) is the final examination for computer scientists EFZ / Informatikerin EFZ.
The costs for the school fees depend on the legal form of the school (private school or public institution) and amount to around CHF 20,000 or CHF 55,000.
The internship salary is between approx. CHF 1,000 and 1,600 per month, depending on the internship contract.
