How does the training to become an EFZ computer scientist work and what does it cost?
The school-based training to become an EFZ computer scientist consists of two parts:
- In the first two years, full-time practice-oriented teaching is the order of the day.
- The third and fourth years of training consist of work placements. In the last semester, the so-called individual practical assignment (IPA) is created in the internship company as proof of performance.
- The regular federal final apprenticeship examination (QV) is the final examination for computer scientists EFZ / Informatikerin EFZ.
- The costs for the school fees depend on the legal form of the school (private school or public institution) and amount to around CHF 20,000 or CHF 55,000.
- The internship salary is between approx. CHF 1,000 and 1,600 per month, depending on the internship contract.
