Tell us about your professional background.

I am the director of eFachausweis. After studying psychology, I worked mainly in HR and social insurance. In 2018, I completed my Doctor of Education training at the University of Liverpool. During this time, I studied new learning methods in depth. In the same year, I founded eFachausweis.

What goals does eFachausweis pursue in the area of human resources?

Our aim is to impart specialist skills in the field of human resources in an alternative form of education. We offer online training for HR specialists as an alternative to traditional face-to-face teaching. Various studies from English-speaking countries confirm that online learning works just as well or even better than conventional forms of learning. In addition, the eFachausweis also provides access to training courses for people who cannot or do not want to be in the same place at the same time every week. I am thinking, for example, of people with irregular working hours or family commitments, but also of people who live far away from school centers and do not want to travel long distances. Night owls and morning people can learn when and where it suits them best with an eFachausweis.

What courses does eFachausweis offer in HR to prepare for the professional examination?

eFachausweis offers the HR specialist preparation course in two forms: In the shared teaching program, students learn very flexibly and have the opportunity to exchange ideas with each other in class. The mentoring program also includes video conferences with experts. Students can discuss their questions with proven experts and also complete 1:1 exam training sessions.

The eFachausweis can also be used to prepare for the HR assistant certificate course. The certificate is a prerequisite for admission to the HR specialist professional examination. Incidentally, we have also been offering a course for accounting clerks since June 2021.

Who is the HR specialist distance learning course particularly suitable for?

The distance learning course to become an HR specialist is suitable for people who wish to take on a demanding and responsible job in the HR sector or in private recruitment, or who wish to work as a consultant in public employment services. The eFachausweis course is aimed at practitioners with the necessary self-discipline who wish to prepare flexibly, independently and competently for the professional examination in the field of human resources.

What career prospects does the HR specialist certificate offer?

Anyone who successfully completes the professional examination to become an HR specialist is able to take on responsible tasks in the HR sector, as well as in recruitment or personnel placement.

What do participants learn in this HR training course?

Depending on the chosen specialization, this HR training provides specialist skills in corporate human resource management, in public recruitment and consultancy or in private recruitment and staff leasing.

The training course in preparation for the HR specialist professional examination provides generalist knowledge in the following subjects:

  • Business management contexts

How much does the eFachausweis offer cost as preparation for the professional examination?

Those who take the professional examination are reimbursed 50% of the costs by the federal government. This means that the shared teaching offer effectively costs students CHF 2,950 and the mentoring offer CHF 4,700.

What makes an online course of study particularly interesting for prospective students?

Various studies show that online lessons that are well prepared in terms of subject matter and didactics perform just as well or better than corresponding face-to-face courses. Students appreciate the personalization options and the variety of methods. They also benefit on the job market, as employers see those who break new ground in this way as innovative, open-minded, disciplined and digitally competent.
