Complete training or further training to become a building energy consultant and become a specialist in the field of buildings, energy and consulting! With a background in building services engineering, you already have the ideal prerequisites for the Building Energy Consultant course. During this training/further training course, you will be prepared for the federal professional examination (BP). With this certificate/degree, you will be qualified for challenging, sometimes managerial positions and will work with more personal responsibility and independence in the future.

Train to become a competent consultant with the building energy consultant course. Nowadays, an optimal energy supply must be taken into account as early as the building planning stage. Building energy consultants know the advantages and disadvantages of various energy technologies and can also provide clients and architects with expert advice on thermal insulation. As an energy consultant for buildings, you create energy analyses of buildings and know how to develop concepts for optimizing the energy supply of a building.

Further training to become a building energy consultant is carried out on a part-time basis and usually takes around six months. You will be trained in the main topics of building physics, renewable energy, implementation planning, building technology, certificates, funding applications and building structures. The prerequisite for taking the examination to become an energy consultant for buildings with a federal certificate is a federal certificate as a head fitter for heating or plumbing, poly construction foreman or tinsmith foreman. A qualification as an object manager for building envelopes or a comparable qualification is also possible. In addition, at least three years of professional experience is expected as well as proof of completion of the required modules of the course. Für die Zulassung zur Berufsprüfung Energieberater/in Gebäude mit eidg. Fachausweis müssen Sie über einen eidgenössischen Fachausweis oder einen vergleichbaren Abschluss im Bereich der Gebäudetechnik sowie den Objektleiter-Abschluss im Bereich der Gebäudehülle resp. einen vergleichbaren Nachweis vorweisen können. Welchen Lehrabschluss Sie besitzen, spielt für die BP zum Gebäudeenergieberater jedoch keine Rolle.

Der Weiterbildungslehrgang zum Gebäudeenergieberater mit eidg. Fachausweis setzt sich aus sieben Modulen zusammen. Diese sind: Bauphysik; Gebäudetechnik und erneuerbare Energien; Baukonstruktion; Umsetzungsplanung; Nachweise und Fördergesuche, Vernetzungsworkshop sowie einen GEAK-Schulungskurs. Dabei bearbeiten Sie Themen wie die Grundlagen des Wärmeschutzes und der Wärmebrücken, des Luftaustausches und des Feuerschutzes, ebenso wie Messtechnik, Energieverbrauch, opake und transparente Gebäudehülle, Beschattung, Bauökologie, Schwachstelen in Gebäudehüllen, Elektrotechnik, Sanitärtechnik, Heizungstechnik, Klima- und Lüftungstechnik sowie Erneuerbare Energien und den Energiemarkt. Des Weiteren behandeln Sie während der Weiterbildung in der Energieberatung die Bereiche thermische Energie im Hochbau, Förderungsgesuche, Gebäude Energieausweis Erstellung und Interpretation, Baueingabe Wärmeschutznachweis, Rechtsgrundlagen, Werkvertrag und Aufträge, Wirtschaftlichkeit, Ressourcenplanung, Montageleitung, Arbeitssicherheit, Auftragsabschluss, Kundenberatung und Vernetzung der einzelnen Module zum Gebäudeenergieberater.

The further training to become a building energy consultant with a federal certificate is divided into seven modules, which have fixed course dates and take place over a period of around seven months on a total of 22 seminar days. The diploma training with higher specialist examination to become an energy and efficiency consultant with a federal diploma lasts one and a half years with a total of 720 lessons.

Building energy consultants with a federal certificate are responsible for the energy analysis and renovation of buildings, draw up building energy performance certificates, submit funding applications and work professionally with external partners in building envelopes and building technology. As specialists, they develop individual solutions for energy-efficient building renovations that always take sustainability into account as well as an environmentally friendly component. Thanks to their specialist skills, they can determine the energy consumption of buildings, identify weak points in the building envelope and initiate renovation measures if necessary. Energy consultants for buildings with a federal certificate act as an intermediary between architects, craftsmen and building owners, taking into account both economic and legal aspects.
