Future Leadership is the answer to complex leadership and organizational problems that have arisen or will arise as part of the digital transformation.
Fluctuating markets, new technologies and rapidly changing customer needs: Existing business models must adapt to the new reality so that they do not perish. This also includes the question of the role of future leadership.
A new management approach is required here. This in turn is shaped by the changes brought about by Industry 4.0 and digital transformation, which is characterized by digitalization and networking (e.g. people and machines). This transformation is also affecting the world of work (also known as "Work 4.0"). Soft skills such as empathy, creativity, flexibility and analysis are in demand. But also the dissolution of rigid hierarchical structures towards a flat hierarchy, the promotion of employees' strengths, coaching in their development and openness towards suggestions and ideas from employees, as well as their consideration and constructive feedback are important aspects of future leadership.
