The two federal certificates "Electrical Project Manager Installation and Safety" and "Electrical Project Manager Planning" will replace the previous professional examination for "Electrical Project Manager" in 2020. These qualifications are part of a long tradition of specialist and management training in the electrical installation industry and have become firmly established in the world of work. The names have been repeatedly adapted to developments: Earlier designations included electrical inspector, electrical planner, electrical safety consultant or chief electrical fitter with a federal certificate.
These certificates are federally recognized qualifications that are sponsored by the VSEI = Association of Swiss Electrical Installation Companies and are therefore known and valued throughout the industry.
There is a great need for managers in the electrical installation industry. This can be seen from the fact that the "Electrical Project Manager" professional examination regularly ranks among the 10 to 15 most popular qualifications. There are also dozens of vacancies for electrical project managers in all regions of Switzerland on all job boards.
