Wage after graduation from the FH Architecture program as "Bachelor of Arts (FH) in Architecture"

Studying to become an architect at a university of applied sciences provides you with fundamental, holistic and at the same time professionally qualifying specialist knowledge and skills. These will qualify you to carry out responsible tasks independently as part of a team. Your salary prospects therefore look good after obtaining a Bachelor's degree.

The salary depends not only on the industry, but also on other factors such as the region, size of the company, professional experience, previous education and age. In terms of salary, another decisive factor is whether the qualification leads to a new position and function in the previous company or another company.

You can calculate your personal salary opportunities with "Salarium", the federal government's salary calculator. We have calculated a possible case to illustrate this. It is intended as an example and shows the statistical average.

Calculation of salary on obtaining the Bachelor's degree in architecture FH

Sereina comes from a family of architects. She knew early on what she wanted to be when she grew up: an architect. This made her parents particularly happy, as she would be able to take over her parents' architectural practice when the time was right.

After high school, Seraina completed a one-year internship at a large architecture firm in Zurich to see if architecture was really her calling outside of the family environment. She really enjoyed the internship and it confirmed that she wanted to study architecture.

As she wanted a very practice-oriented education, she looked for a suitable university of applied sciences in Zurich. Thanks to her one-year internship, she was able to start studying architecture without any conditions. Sereina opted for the part-time study option and continued to work part-time at her previous architectural firm in Zurich.

Sereina completed her Bachelor's degree at the University of Applied Sciences with excellent grades and soon afterwards took up a junior position as an architect in her previous company. She was now 24 years old. Her salary was CHF 6,415.
