How long does the "Bachelor of Arts (FH) in Architecture" degree course take and how much does it cost?
Duration and procedure
- The Bachelor's degree program in Architecture FH is offered both as a full-time model and as a part-time model.
- The course is modular in design. The full-time course usually lasts 6 semesters, the part-time course 8 semesters.
- 180 ECTS must be acquired in the Bachelor's degree program (1 ECTS corresponds to 25-30 working hours)
- The timetable includes compulsory elective modules, elective modules and seminar/project weeks. The UAS determine when and where these take place and the exact course content.
- The Bachelor's degree program concludes with a Bachelor's thesis, which is written and presented as individual or group work.
Costs
- The tuition fees for students resident in Switzerland are CHF 500-1000. Students resident abroad must expect to pay higher fees.
- The registration fee is CHF 100-300.
- The examination fees are CHF 40-150 per semester.
- Some providers charge additional costs for teaching materials, training documents, copies/printouts, student ID/campus card, software licenses or expenses. It is best to ask the provider of your choice directly what additional costs you can expect.
