What is everyday life like in year 10 and what do I learn there?

The 10th school year is offered in different forms and with different content - but it is always aFull-time programwith fixed and regular times.

The 10th school year, which prepares students for secondary school, usually consists purely of school lessons. In the general and pre-vocational courses, classroom lessons alternate with short work placements in companies or a longer placement in a practical company.

In thegeneral lessonsschool, personal and social skills are promoted. This means that you not only improve your German, math and other school skills, but also train punctuality and perseverance, for example, and the way you work in a team or deal with frustration and stress.

In theCareer choiceyou will get to know different professions and try out some of them straight away. You will also be supported in finding an apprenticeship and applying for one.

For offers withLanguage stayin French, English or Italian-speaking countries, you can choose between full-time school or part-time school with au pair duties. Not only will you improve your education and foreign language skills, but you will also get to know people from all over the world and different lifestyles.
