Public seminars are offered by many different educational institutions and impart knowledge and skills on very different topics. As a rule, they are open to anyone who is interested in one of the topics on offer and would like to deepen their knowledge in this area. The advantage of this type of seminar is that they are entertaining and up-to-date, can adapt quickly to the demand for training and, above all, train social, leadership and personal skills. They are offered at regular intervals and primarily impart theoretical and cognitive knowledge.

A public seminar takes place at a training location of the training provider or a public location, congress building or seminar room and is open to all persons who are interested in this topic and meet the admission requirements, regardless of the company in which they work. The situation is different for in-house training courses. This type of continuing education, further training is aimed exclusively at a company, a department or certain employees of an organization who are to be trained on a very specific topic. This type of continuing education, further training often takes place on the company's premises and is usually led by an external trainer. In some cases, the training or workshop can also take place on premises outside the company, for example directly at the training provider's premises or in a specially rented training room, for example in a hotel. However, the event is always reserved exclusively for the specific target group and is not open to private individuals, as the content is explicitly tailored to the needs of the company.
