Relationship coaching runs roughly as follows:

• First date:
  • Coach listens, coaches present their respective points of view
  • Coach gives an analysis from his neutral point of view, including specialist knowledge and experience

• Follow-up appointment 1 - Define topic Coaches
  • Coach suggests sensible measures (e.g. communication, everyday problems, children's issues, different parenting styles, intimacy, professional issues, etc.).
  • Possibly systemic constellation
• Possible follow-up appointment 2 - depending on the needs of the coaches
• Final coaching
  • Review whether all topics have been dealt with well
  • Do the coaches feel able to solve their problems and issues themselves?

The relationship coach can of course be used online. Coaching can also be offered and conducted via video. This also saves traveling. All you need is a laptop or tablet, possibly a headset and a stable internet connection. A relationship coach can support you online and, for example, provide you with valuable techniques and methods to maintain emotional closeness with your partner.

In a relationship coach training course you learn:

• Fundamentals of human psychology
• Working in theory and practice
• the tools of relationship counseling

• Accompany change and development processes
• Relationship dynamics and their solution-oriented approaches based on psychography
• Dealing with stressful situations and constant stress
• Different basic needs

There is no clear definition of what a relationship coach does, as the profession is not federally protected and coaches are very free in the design of relationship coaching sessions. As a rule, a relationship coach primarily listens to the client, mediates, leads the conversation, asks targeted questions, helps to process injuries and promotes mutual understanding and finding solutions and compromises.

The following prerequisites are required for the relationship coach training:

• Professional and consulting experience
• Management experience
• Empathy
• Ability for critical self-reflection

What you earn as a relationship coach depends on various factors - especially as you are usually charged per session and work independently in your own coaching practice:

• Degrees and diplomas
• Size of the clientele
• Number of sessions

In Switzerland, the cost of a session is between approx. 120 and 500 francs.

A relationship coach is particularly helpful when you can no longer help yourself and don't know what to do. Perhaps the same problem situations or negative experiences keep recurring in your relationship or family. Relationship coaching helps us to better understand and solve the problems in our relationships. It helps to clarify specific misunderstandings, resolve recurring conflicts and improve communication with other people.

The title "relationship coach" is not yet protected, so it is possible to offer coaching for couples without the appropriate training. However, sound training is highly recommended so that you have the necessary tools to conduct successful relationship coaching sessions.

You should have the following qualities:

• Openness with regard to the development of personality

In a relationship coaching session, you can learn a lot about yourself, your thought and behavior patterns by reflecting on yourself in your relationships: Because the way we interact with other people not only says something about the specific circumstances and the other person(s), but also a lot about ourselves.
