Wie unterscheiden sich Intensivkurse und Standardkurse?

What is the difference between intensive courses and standard courses?

You can attend English courses at different levels of intensity, depending on how much time you have available for lessons and follow-up work at home and how quickly you want to learn English or improve your language skills. You can choose between different course models for each level, including standard and intensive courses as well as private lessons. Some schools also offer semi-intensive or combination courses consisting of individual lessons and intensive group lessons. This varies from school to school, so you should always compare them individually.

Basically, however, standard lessons mean that you attend lessons at the language school once a week for around 2 hours. This form of English course is the most common and lasts 4 to 6 months per course with 30 to 45 lessons (this is also variable).

Intensive courses require much more time than a standard course. You are often at the language school every day (5 times a week) for 2 to 4 hours and learn English intensively. This reduces the duration of the course immensely so that you can achieve your learning goal in a much shorter time.
