What does a secondary school timetable look like?

Secondary school is usually open from Monday to Friday, with Wednesday afternoons off. There are compulsory subjects, optional subjects and free subjects. The usual subjects are

• Mathematics (arithmetic, algebra, geometry)
• Rooms, times, societies (RZG)
• Media and information technology

In principle, teachers teach according to the timetable. However, they can also group individual subject areas alternately into blocks and carry out teaching projects. In this way, all forms of organization can be used in the course of a year. However, teachers must ensure that they adhere to the proportions prescribed in the timetable over the course of the school year. The decisive factor is the achievement of the learning objectives by the end of the year and at the end of school.
