What is the structure of the DELF B2 exam for the Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française?
The DELF B2 exam certifies knowledge at intermediate level (advanced intermediate level) according to the Centre International d'Etudes Pédagogiques (CIEP) of the French Ministry of Education. The French diploma is internationally recognized and was adapted to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in 2006. TheDELF B1 + B2 as proof of proven French language skills - whether at colleges, universities or with employers. If you pass the written and oral exams, you will receive a DELF B2 diploma that is valid indefinitely. This language certificate tests oral and written language skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking. The DELF exam for reference level B2 is structured as follows:
- Listening comprehension (approx. 30 minutes) - 5 questions on an interview or news program (played once) and approx. 12 questions on a lecture, radio or television program (listened to twice)
- Reading comprehension (60 minutes) - two texts of approx. 500 words each (general and detailed questions on overall comprehension)
- Text production (60 minutes) - take an argumentative position on a topic (text must contain approx. 250 words - critical article and formal, argumentative letter)
- Preparation for oral exam (30 minutes)
- Oral examination (10 - 15 minutes) - present and justify your opinion based on the document at hand - debate with the examiner (two written auxiliary documents, without dictionary
