Approximately how long does a Portuguese language course take?
Most language schools offer different language course models that vary greatly in terms of duration, objectives, intensity and focus. For example, there are courses that prepare you in Portuguese for your vacation and teach you basic expressions and simple sentences. Such a course is usually quite short and lasts between two weeks and two months, depending on how often you attend lessons. Conventional standard courses usually last 4 to 6 months, intensive courses 3 to 5 months. However, as each language school determines its own language courses, you may also find shorter or longer courses on offer. Language courses do not have a fixed duration either, but range from 1 week to a year and beyond. It is therefore entirely up to you which Portuguese course you choose and what duration and intensity it has.
