Wie lange dauern die einzelnen Studiengänge in Verfahrenstechnik?
How long do the individual degree programs in process engineering take?
Every Bachelor's degree program comprises 180 ECTS credits, which are earned during the course of study at a Universities. In order to obtain these credits, it takes three years (6 semesters) full-time to complete a degree course in process engineering at a University of Applied Sciences, just like any other Bachelor's degree course. This standard period of study can be extended or shortened. In the case of a part-time Bachelor's degree course, the duration of study is extended accordingly and takes around 8 to 12 semesters.
A consecutive Master's degree in Process Engineering builds on the Bachelor's degree and comprises 90 ECTS credits, which can usually be earned within 3 semesters, including the Master's thesis in the 3rd semester.
Engineers who are looking for further specialized continuing education, further training after their Bachelor's or Master's degree can also opt for a postgraduate course in the form of a CAS, DAS or MAS, which take place over different periods of time depending on the course chosen.
In most cases, a Certificate of Advanced Studies CAS with at least 10 ECTS credits and lasting 1 - 2 semesters, a Diploma of Advanced Studies DAS with at least 30 ECTS credits and lasting 1 to 2 years and a Master of Advanced Studies MAS with at least 60 ETCS credits and lasting 2 to 5 years are awarded at a University of Applied Sciences for Process Engineering.
