Before you sign up for a language course where you can learn Portuguese, it is important that you think about a few basic things. Start by thinking about what your goal is with such a course. Do you just want to learn some Portuguese for your vacation? Do you need in-depth language skills for a year of study abroad? Do you want to be able to communicate professionally with your business partners or customers in their native language? Depending on the purpose for which you want to learn Portuguese, different course models are possible. The intensity and duration also play an important role. Would you like to learn this foreign language as quickly as possible, for example in an intensive or compact course, or are you in no hurry and would rather consider a longer-term standard course? Both options are possible both in a language school here in Switzerland and as part of a language trip, as well as combination courses, for example consisting of individual courses and group courses.

How much time do you have per week to attend a language course and also to revise what you have learned at home? Also bear in mind that you will have to travel to and from school, which can take some time depending on the distance. Also think about when the language course should take place. Do you only have time in the evening or is it best for you during your lunch break?
