The following formal requirements may be demanded for police security assistants:
- Swiss citizenship or permanent residence permit C
- Impeccable reputation (criminal record, Office for Administrative Measures, debt enforcement office)
- Ideal age up to 40 years
- Ideal size approx. 165 cm or taller
- Good school and general education
- Completed apprenticeship with Federal Certificate of Vocational Education and Training or certificate of proficiency
- Good written and spoken German
- Mental and physical resilience
- Driving license Cat. B
- Basic IT knowledge
- Foreign language skills
