Welche Zulassungsbedingungen gelten für ein Kommunikationsstudium an einer Hochschule?

What are the admission requirements for studying communication at a Universities?

Universities of Applied Sciences and universities throughout Switzerland offer a number of very interesting degree and postgraduate courses in the field of communication.

You must meet one of the following requirements to study for a Bachelor's degree (Bsc):

  • Vocational, technical or high school diploma
  • as well as professional or work experience (e.g. apprenticeship, internship)

Admission to Master's degree programs at Universities of Applied Sciences is generally open to anyone with a UAS Bachelor's degree in the same or a related subject. Depending on the Universities and field of study, selective admission criteria are defined - e.g. in the form of a minimum Bachelor's grade and/or practical experience - and admission procedures and aptitude tests are carried out.

When changing the type of university, 20-60 additional ECTS credit points are required, depending on the subject area.

In addition to these two degrees, many courses are also offered as continuing education, further training or postgraduate courses in the form of CAS, DAS and MAS programs at Universities of Applied Sciences. The admission requirements for all three types of degree vary depending on the educational institution and course. In most cases, however, the admission requirements are as follows:

  • Tertiary degree (depending on the case, admission "sur dossier" possible, i.e. based on previous education and professional experience)
  • Relevant professional experience
