Not only the patients themselves, but usually also their relatives suffer from the consequences of the physical and mental illnesses of those affected. In order to support these people who are involved in caring for, looking after or living with a sick person, well-trained specialists are needed who know the value of this support and are there to help. People who work with relatives approach each situation individually with sensitivity and without prejudice, providing advice and support. They develop concepts and also offer institutional support services.
