What further training opportunities do I have as a childcare specialist (FaBe)?
With a Federal VET Diploma as a childcare specialist (FaBe), you can, for example, attend courses offered by professional associations, technical colleges and Universities. You can also train to become a daycare center manager.
For example, the following options are open to you at higher vocational education and training level:
- Federal Diploma of Higher Education:
Social support worker, team leader in social and socio-medical institutions, migration specialist, specialist in long-term care and support, specialist in supporting people with disabilities, work coach, job coach, specialist in psychiatric care and support - Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) with federal diploma: e.g. certified institution manager in the social and socio-medical field, supervisor/coach, organizational consultant
- College of Higher Education (CHE): qualified social pedagogue CHE, qualified child educator CHE (or childhood educator), qualified community animator CHE, qualified head of occupational education CHE (training currently only in French-speaking Switzerland)
