What continuing education, further training can caregivers complete?
Depending on the focus of interest, a wide range of continuing education, further training courses are available to caregivers for the elderly after a few years of professional experience, such as the Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE) in Migration Specialist, Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Team Leader in Social and Socio-Medical Institutions or Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Social Care. Continuing education, further training at Colleges of Higher Education (CHE) is also possible, for example in social pedagogy, as an activation specialist or community animator. With a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate, a Bachelor's degree course is also possible, for example in occupational therapy, applied psychology or social work with specializations in social pedagogy, social work or socio-cultural animation.
