What requirements do I have to meet for continuing education, further training as a hospital specialist?
The following is required for admission to the Federal Professional Examination (FPE) for Hospital Specialist, or since 2021 with the new designation "Specialist in Healthcare Institutions" with a federal certificate:
- Federal VET Diploma (vocational education and training (VET)), vocational, technical or Baccalaureate, technical secondary school certificate or equivalent qualification
and
- At least 2 years of professional experience in commercial areas of the healthcare sector in Germany or abroad
