A placement test at the beginning of your language stay or language course gives you and the teachers a good overview of your language level. And this is important, because only in this way can you be assigned to a suitable learning group and develop optimally. In most cases, the individual courses are subdivided as follows:

• Beginner (A1)
• Advanced beginners (A2)
  
• Lower intermediate level (B1)
  
• Intermediate level (B2)
  
• Upper intermediate level (C1)
  
• Upper level (C2)
  

These designations are not always the same for all language schools, but the classification is usually identical.
