It is not possible to complete basic training (an apprenticeship) specifically in the field of counselling, but many similar professional fields are open to you, which you can then build on to specialize in. For example, you can complete the following vocational education and training (VET) in counseling:
- Health and social services assistant (Federal VET Certificate)
- Care specialist (Federal VET Diploma)
- Hospital/Clinic/Home Management Assistant (Federal VET Diploma)
- Specialist in exercise and health promotion (Federal VET Diploma)
- Healthcare specialist (Federal VET Diploma)
