To be admitted as an auditor, natural persons must either hold a federal diploma as an auditor or a federal diploma as a fiduciary expert, tax expert or expert in accounting and controlling. Persons with a Swiss university degree in business administration, law or economics or a federal certificate as a fiduciary or specialist in finance and accounting can also be admitted, as can persons with one of the above-mentioned adequate foreign degrees and corresponding professional experience as well as knowledge of Swiss law. In addition, one year of professional experience is expected. Professional experience is considered to be work in accounting and auditing, which must be supervised by auditing experts. A good reputation is mandatory for all candidates.
