What types of childcare are actually available?
A large number of different forms of childcare are offered in Switzerland, ranging from au pairs, babysitters, vacation care, children's homes, lunchtime care, childminders to forest playgroups, playgroups and foster families. Crèches, day nurseries and day care centers also fall under childcare, as do other childcare services that supplement family and school care.
