What do I need to know for the AFPE site manager exam?
In the AFPE construction manager examination, the examination subjects of construction management, construction costs, construction fundamentals, construction design, law, surveying and communication are tested. In a preparatory course offered by a number of schools throughout Switzerland, you will learn all the essential technical, personal and social skills, including the following:
- Building construction divisions and building construction details
- Construction organization; local construction management; preparation of execution and scheduling
- Building physics; building materials science; structural analysis and strength of materials
- Construction cost planning; construction cost monitoring, tenders and submissions
- Fundamentals of surveying and surveying tasks
- Minutes; correspondence; conducting discussions; teamwork and chairing meetings
- Fire prevention, health and safety protection, basic law, private law and public law (excerpts)
