Was lerne ich in einer Ausbildung in der Familientherapie genau?

What exactly do I learn in a family therapy course?

The topics that participants encounter during their training in family therapy are very varied and comprehensive and range from physical abnormalities due to mental illness, stress symptoms and treatment, to sexuality and generational conflicts.

On their way to becoming a family therapist, course participants learn about the influences parents have on their children, forms of interaction and values, parent-child and sibling systems, as well as aspects of partner selection. You will learn how partnerships can be perceived as a burden and how this must be completely redefined after the now adult children have moved out. During the course, you will learn about topics such as migrant families, intercultural partnerships and family typologies, structural changes in the event of divorce, separation, moving out or death, conflict patterns and the origins of the family.

But please note: The exact course content varies depending on the provider and the course offered. We therefore recommend contacting the school of your choice directly via our contact form or using the "Ask a question" button to get in touch with the right contact person.
