What is a forensic psychiatrist?
Whereas a normal psychiatrist has studied medicine and then specialized in psychiatry (the medical study of mental disorders or mental illnesses). A forensic psychiatrist, however, works in the field of psychiatry and law. Forensics means forensic medicine, i.e. an activity in the medical field. As there is no specialist title corresponding to the FSP specialist title, there is a specialist title in forensic psychiatry.
