What is the difference between studying computer science at university and at UAS?
There are several differences between studying computer science at a University of Applied Sciences and a university. One is the focus, which at a university is towards basic research and at a University of Applied Sciences towards practice-oriented application. Secondly, if you want to study computer science at a University of Applied Sciences, you are somewhat more restricted in terms of personalizing your lectures and exercises, as you follow a fixed timetable. At universities, on the other hand, you can focus on specific subjects and thus plan and carry out your studies more independently. Also, at UASs you study computer science as a single subject, whereas at a university you can choose it in combination with other courses as a major or minor subject.
