Was bedeuten die Bezeichnungen A1, A2, B1 und so weiter?
What do the designations A1, A2, B1 and so on mean?
For all European languages, including Portuguese, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages has established guidelines that provide precise information about the level of a person's language skills. For you, this means that if you attend a language course at level A1, you will know exactly what skills you will have developed at the end of this course, provided you learn in a targeted manner. Please note that the learning objectives always refer to the level of knowledge you have after completing a course, not before. The reference framework comprises six levels and shows at a glance, for example, what level of Portuguese you have. After completing each level, you can take a language exam, which is internationally recognized and certifies your knowledge. You can then take another language course at the next level up and continue in this way until you have reached your personal goal.
