Technical colleges or colleges of Higher Education for technology are not necessarily federally recognized, but rather the individual continuing education courses. The State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation SERI recognizes these courses, including Techniker / Technikerin TS, now Techniker/in CHE, and sets out the minimum requirements in an ordinance.
