Do I have to have special previous knowledge of composing in order to start a Bachelor's degree program?
For a Bachelor's degree, such as a Bachelor of Music in Classical Music or a Bachelor of Music in Jazz, previous knowledge of composition is not necessarily required, but vocal or instrumental skills, experience in ensemble playing (for classical music), stamina, a general cultural education, knowledge of practicing technique, resilience, basic knowledge of music theory and improvisation experience (for jazz).
