A CAS, Certificate of Advanced Studies, is a continuing education course offered by a Universities and generally requires participants to have a tertiary degree and relevant professional experience.
However, this professional experience does not always have to be in the respective subject area of the course; people with no prior knowledge are often also admitted to a CAS. A university degree is also not always necessary; a comparable degree or sufficient specialist and management responsibility may also be sufficient as a prerequisite for admission to a CAS in tax law.
