Do I have to attend a course for the Federal Professional Examination for Nature and Environment Specialists?
You are not required to attend a preparatory course to prepare you for the Federal Professional Examination (FPE) to become a nature and environmental specialist specializing in environmental management, but it is highly recommended, as the examination requirements for participants are very high. Theoretically, you could take the exam without a course if you learn the content independently and meet all the exam requirements. This is very rarely done because the exams are based on module knowledge.
Without a course, you will not have an official module certificate, which can make it more difficult to register for the exam. The examination centers (OdA Umwelt) often ask for proof of completed preparation.
