Macht es Sinn, mit einem Konversationskurs zu starten, um Persisch zu lernen?

Does it make sense to start with a conversation course to learn Persian?

Whether this makes sense or not depends on your learning goal and learning style. It is certainly not wrong.

Important information for learning Persian / Farsi:

Learning Persian is comparable to learning English: You don't have to learn a lot of forms before you can form a proper sentence and soon say a few things. This is possible very quickly.

When you think of the script, however, the similarity with learning English stops immediately, because Persian is not written with our (Latin) letters, but in Arabic-Persian script. And you have to learn this if you want to read and write Persian.

Many introductory Persian courses therefore initially consist of a mixture of conversation (with an introduction to vocabulary and grammar) and learning the alphabet.
