In order to study social work at a University of Applied Sciences, you generally need professional experience, with the exception of a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate in the field of health and social work or a College of Higher Education diploma in the social field. If you have a Baccalaureate, you must also have professional experience in the health, social, education or education sector in order to attend a University of Applied Sciences. Alternatively, you can also apply to study at a university, for example for a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences: Social Work and Social Policy. For a university degree in Social Work, you do not need any professional experience and will gain direct access to the course with a recognized Baccalaureate.
