Can I take the Federal Professional Examination to become a printing technologist directly after my apprenticeship?
In order to be admitted to the Federal Professional Examination (FPE) for printing and packaging technology specialists with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma), you must have gained at least two years of professional experience in this field after completing your basic training as a printing technologist with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma) before you can register for the examination. However, the preparatory course for the Federal Professional Examination (usually three semesters) will be credited towards your practical experience, so that you only need to gain half a year of professional experience, which is a priority.
