Kindergarten training in Switzerland is not basic training in the form of an apprenticeship, but rather a course of study at a University of Teacher Education (UTE). This UTE degree program trains prospective kindergarten teachers to become pre-school teachers or teachers at pre-school and Primary Level (kindergarten and lower school).
