The MarKom certification examination is not identical to a course to become a marketing specialist. The MarKom certificate examination serves as a mandatory basis for some industry-internal Federal Professional Examinations, such as the Marketing Specialist with Federal Diploma of Higher Education or the Communication Planner with Federal Diploma of Higher Education (until 2018), but not the Clerk training course.
