In 2005, the technical school (TS) was converted into a higher technical college, but this has no effect on the recognition of the former diplomas, which are now called dipl. techniker / Technikerin HF.
Note: Since fall 2022, the HF technician courses (formerly "Techniker HF Fachrichtung") have received a title change with the revision of the framework curriculum.
