Ich möchte mich neben meiner Arbeit juristisch weiterbilden, welche Möglichkeiten gibt es da?

I would like to continue my legal education alongside my work, what options are there?

You can study law part-time at a distance-learning university or university of applied sciences, for example, which allows you to continue working, albeit to a limited extent. It is also possible to study law part-time at a conventional university, although you should bear in mind that a bachelor's or postgraduate master's degree course will extend over a longer period of time and the double workload could be very tedious in the long term. If you cannot or do not want to reduce your workload too much and are not interested in a full legal education, but rather in a shorter course, a CAS, a Certificate of Advanced Studies, may be a useful continuing education, further training for you. A CAS is a short course lasting six months to a year and provides you with basic legal knowledge or specialized knowledge, depending on your chosen focus. These courses often take place half a day a week and on Saturdays, sometimes two afternoons or evenings a week, or a whole day every week. In this way, you can continue to work around 80 percent of the time and train specifically in law.
